First local air measurements published
Google and Copenhagen Solutions Lab's preliminary map on the Ultrafine Particles and Black Carbon in Copenhagen give new insights.
A year ago Copenhagen Solutions Lab initiated project Air-View and since then a Google Street View car with advanced measuring equipment has been driving through the streets of Copenhagen. The Google car has now driven and measured all streets in the City of Copenhagen at least three times, and some streets have been measured up to 30 times. The preliminary measurements show that the air pollution in Copenhagen is particularly severe in the center and at the major approach roads.
The map presents the preliminary conclusions that are still sought to be further elucidated. The Google car will continue to drive in the streets of Copenhagen and measure air quality until March 2020.
