In CPH Solutions Lab we are looking very much forward to Folkemødet 2015, where we are inviting you to two debates about the intelligent city of the future – we hope to see a lot of people at the debates and for a talk in our tent on Kampeløkke Havn.

Thursday 11th of June 17:30-18:15: ”Is the city of the future also for the citizens?”

Intelligent urban development between city, citizens and big business: Join the debate about the intelligent city of the future and how we in Denmark release the potential of new technologies and big data in the best possible way without compromising with the people of the cities.

The panel for the debate is:

  • Morten Kabell, Technical and Environmental Mayor of the City of Copenhagen
  • Jonas Kroustrup, Chief Resilience officer, City of Vejle
  • Alfred Heller, Vice Head of Centre, DTU Cities
  • Kim Escherich, Executive Innovation Architect at IBM

The debate is moderated by Ellen Højgaard Jensen, Director of Dansk Byplan Laboratorium

Friday the 12th of June 17:30-18:39: The smart city – societal benefits and sustainable urban solutions”

Why should the future city be smart? The Danish cities are at the peak among smart cities around the world but what do we gain from being smart as society, city, citizen, and company? And what does it take to maintain and strengthen our position as frontrunner in the development of sustainable, intelligent urban solutions?
